This is super simple:
Add ice, then add 30ml TAHU gin.
Top with tonic water and gently stir. Garnish with lime wheels or seasonal garnishes. Experiment with different types of tonic water. We like to add a dash of fresh lime juice before adding the tonic water. Te reka hoki! Porridge Watson, The Citadel and The Lads Brewery in Whanganui have their own interpretation on this simple inu.
TAHU First Kiss
For those who desire something a little sweet. Add ice and a 30ml pour of TAHU gin, then 30ml pineapple juice. Now for the cool part - this cocktail works well with flat tonic water or tonic water fresh out of the bottle. Depending how sweet you like your First Kiss vary the amount of pineapple juice. Fancy this up with a pineapple or lime garnish. This is our take on the TAHU cocktail out of the Kuikui Bar in Wellington.
Mix 1-2 parts St Andrews Limes Margarita Sour Mix with 2 parts TAHU and 1 part Triple Sec to get that "Tom Cruise style" cocktail. Shake well and serve over ice to enjoy on a hot, sunny afternoon with friends and whānau. Click below to get the sour mix.
